Is ovarian cancer considered a permanent disability?

Question by CakeOrDeath?: Is ovarian cancer considered a permanent disability?
I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in July. I am back to work full time, but still receiving chemotherapy treatment. Someone told me I would be eligible for ssdi, but I don’t see how if I am back at work.
Thanks in advance.

  1. Permanent disability means that you are permanently unable to work – obviously the answer is no.

  2. If you are able to work, you aren’t eligible for SSDI.

    Good luck with your treatments.
